With a diverse background in advertising, photography, and video I bring a wide range of creative perspective to every design challenge.
I am fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and develop UI Wireframes/Prototypes using Sketch and InVision. I live on Mac, but am PC friendly.
I code responsive web experiences using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. I also develop in the React framework, and use Github for version control.
Senti is a sentiment analysis app able to detect and inform users about emotional tones in their email messages. This project was developed during my front-end development bootcamp at Grand Circus, uses the React Development framework, and an Express backend server.
While serving as the Content Creator at OXX, a startup company and creator of the world's most rugged coffee maker, I worked on every aspect of the brand's creative presence. I implemented company brand standards across UI Design, packaging design, photography, video production, and more.
I created a series of illustrated posters for the Grand Rapids advertising agencies participating in a local agency crawl, each depicting a local company as a giant movie monster. The illustrations were also made into trading cards available at each location, connecting the objectives at each tour location and gamifying the event.
I designed the TEDxGVSU 2017 visual identity used across print and digital promotions for the event. The event, titled "Blueprints Between X and Why," explored the idea of an individual's blueprints (or plans) in life and how it affects their personal journey.
I designed the TEDxGVSU 2018 visual identity, currently in production for the event later this year. The poster was created to embody the theme, "Shape", and illustrates the concepts of individualism and unity among different members (or "shapes") in society overall.
I am currently available for hire. If you'd like to see more current work, learn more about me, or just want to talk about Mario Kart, shoot me an email!
